In 2009 in the basement of a nearby church, the Co-op team connected the community to local food in the kitchen with hands on preservation workshops (that continue today!).
From 2009-2012 three different community bond campaigns were held, raising the $200000 need to open a local and organic food grocery store as well as a community kitchen.
In October 2012, the Co-op Grocery store opened a kitchen onsite with local food available all week long.
Since that time the Farmers' Market has continued to grow, our kitchen workshops continue strong as our grab + go and catering options expand, our social enterprise model continues to drive what we do, ensuring we invest in programs that support our community. Our membership has grown to over 8000!
In September 2018- our site of operations is going to move! Check back regularly to see what the next phase of our Co-op's development has in store!
